We've all heard about the #MeToo movement used to talk about how frequently women are sexually assaulted and how high the likelihood is that you know a woman that has been sexually assaulted.
That got me thinking, who do I know that's been sexually assaulted? I mean there are a few friends in my life I would feel comfortable talking about that with but what about the women that came before us? Our mothers, aunts, grandmothers... How many of them have been assaulted and we don't know about it?
But then here comes the big question, would you want to know? Is it even appropriate to ask someone to talk about that? Would you feel comfortable talking about if one day your child or even your mother asked you if you've ever been a victim of sexual assault?
