What's your thoughts on vigilante justice?
These 3 teens killed their step father because their 9 year old sister said he touched her inappropriately. Now OBVIOUSLY I think we're all on the same page about child molesters but what's the right way to handle it? They took matters into their own hands off the word of a 9 year old. I def think we should believe kids when they accuse but... What if she was lying? What if she misunderstood the situation? What about the emotional trauma she'll have to live with now because a man was killed because of her and her brothers are in jail? With vigilante justice you run the risk of being wrong so is it worth it?
I know a dude who was wrongfully convicted for molesting his daughter. He took a plea to avoid jail time cuz he was latino and didn’t want to go to prison and get murdered for being a sex offender. Now let’s pretend some vigilante dipshit knows about this guy getting a plea for sex offense and kills him, even though he was wrongfully convicted. I don’t even trust the justice system to get it right. You think I’m gonna trust a bunch of wannabe Batmans to get it right? Fuck that. Vigilantes are worse than cops.
